Positions vs Praxis is an introspective approach in contrast with the notions of peripheral and institutional as baggage. Through this the collective will map the practice's from Assam which are exploring the possibilities of its geopolitical contexts as center to define post academic and post studio.

Assam based Anga art collective formed in 2010 as a studio space breaks itself to become a process to explore the possibilities of freedom, both in art as well as life. The collective thinks and works through regional/cultural specificities as a field to begin the process of decolonization in thinking and making.The collective creates art, curates exhibitions, and develops aesthetic responses, hosts lectures, talks and pedagogical reach out events. The collective collaborates with village communities, river communities, forest situations, folk artists, ecologists, social scientists, and activists. The collective has developed images, site specific installations, murals, videos; in cross ethnic contexts and also co-founded kNOw School - the post academic process to rethink art pedagogy.Members of the Anga Art Collective will present a talk on Positions vs Praxis that will map the practices from Assam that are exploring the possibilities of its geopolitical contexts.
