Emami Art Residency 2021
Open Call
Emami Art Invites applications for its first on-site residency as part of the gallery's Locus in Focus programme.
3 artists and 1 art curator/writer based in India's Eastern and North-Eastern regions will be selected irrespective of their medium of practice.
The selected artists will receive:
•A four-week on-site residency at Emami Art
• A production bursary of up to 10,000 INR
• An honorarium of 10,000 INR
• Hospitality (Accommodation and food)
• Transportation to and from the place of residence (3AC)
• Mentorship and review sessions
• Free Membership at the KCC library
• Open studio and a 7 day exhibition at the end of the residency
The selected writer/curator will receive:
• A four-week on-site residency at Emami Art
• An opportunity to curate the Open Day and exhibition
• An honorarium of 10,000 INR
• A bursary up to 10,000 INR towards production of the show
• Hospitality (Accommodation and food)
• Transportation to and from the place of residence (3AC)
• Mentorship and review sessions
• Free Membership of the KCC library
• An opportunity to write two articles on the Emami Art Blog

Dates of show : 30th December 2021 to 5th January 2022
Date of announcement of the result: 15th November 2021Eligibility Criteria:
• This open call is for applicants based in West Bengal, Odisha, Bihar, Jharkhand, Andaman & Nicobar Island and Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim, and Tripura.
• The applicant must have been residing in the region for at least a year.
• Age: 25 to 40 years
Participation Checklist (for artists):
• CV (Not more than 300 words)
• Artist Statement (Not more than 300 words)
• A Portfolio of 10 recent works (not older than two years) with details (Include title, medium, size, year of execution, edition, if any)
• Performance and moving image artists must send video documentations
• For video, please share YouTube/Vimeo links (not more than 3 minutes)
• Passport photograph
• Contact Details (Include phone number, e-mail id, and residential address)

• For published articles, please share links
• 2 recent writings not older than two years (Not more than 1000 words)
