- developing stories

- crafting sets and props

- exploring both on-stage acting and shadow puppetry

By blending two mediums, participants will collaboratively create a piece inspired by one of the short-illustrated stories by the renowned K G Subramanyan, affectionately known as Mani-Dadu.
Can you guess which story we're bringing to life?

During this exhilarating three-day workshop at Emami Art, participants can learn from Santanil Ganguly, a respected shadow puppeteer and performer renowned for captivating young audiences. With over twenty-five years of experience in the field, Ganguly has directed numerous productions with his team, Jhalapala. He is eager to share his knowledge and technical skills in acting, crafting, puppet manipulation, and understanding the interplay between light and shadow.

At the heart of our workshop is cultivating a strong sense of visualization, exploring self within various characters and spaces, and fostering teamwork from an early age.
This experience will be enriching and provide valuable life lessons that participants can carry forward.
