As a part of One Hundred Years and Counting : Re-Scripting KG Subramanyan, Emami Art invites you to the public screening of the Documentary Film, 'The Magic of Making K G Subramanyam' by India's most revered filmmaker, Goutam Ghose.
The 2014 documentary is a comprehensive biography of the artist and travels with him and interviewer Shamik Bandopadhyay to MS University, Baroda and Kala Bhavana, Visva Bharati, Santiniketan. The work offers insightful conversations and views on Subramanyan's life long work. Shri Goutam Ghose will be present for a brief QnA.
The film screening will be following HOW HANU BECAME HANUMAN - A shadow puppetry and acting performance by children, guided by Santanil Ganguly and Jhalapala and is based on an eponymous illustrated story by K G Subramanyan.
Emami Art, powered by Kolkata Centre for Creativity have extended the practise of KGS through diverse workshops through out May and June, 2024.
